A recessed light fixture including a base plate (24) mountable in an opening in a room ceiling or wall, with the base plate (24) having a front surface (26) substantially flat and aligned with the ceiling or wall surface when mounted thereon, and a light opening (48) through the base plate (24) wherein the edge (46) of the light opening (48) is a sharp edge with the back surface (50) tapering away from the front surface (26) around the light opening (48) at an angle of less than 45 degrees. A curved dome (56) is adjacent the base plate back surface (50) and centered on the light opening (48). A ring (74) is mounted to the base plate (24) for selected rotation around the light opening (48), and a support track (104) between the curved dome (56) and the base plate (24) is secured on its lower end to the ring (74) and curved up and toward the light opening (48) from its lower end. A socket support (110) is mounted for adjustable movement on the support track (104), and a light socket (70) is mounted to the socket support (110) whereby a lamp in the socket (70) emits light through the light opening (48). |
