LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent impurities of a liquid crystal from being moved between pixel electrodes by forming a barrier electrode line in a boundary among a plurality of pixel electrodes, thereby preventing the impurities of a liquid crystal from piling on a part of pixels. A liquid crystal display comprises the following parts: a board; a plurality of pixel electrodes which is mounted on the board; a barrier electrode line(195) which is formed between the pixel electrodes; and a common electrode which is oppositely installed against the pixel electrode. Two voltages are alternately applied on the basis of voltages applied to the common electrode in the barrier electrode line. Inversion voltage and the voltage applied to the pixel electrode are applied to the barrier electrode line.
