METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CRYSTAL USING SUPERCRITICAL SOLVENT AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a crystal and an apparatus for manufacturing a crystal that can prevent a source material from soaring by heat convection of a solvent and can manufacture a high-quality crystal with high source material efficiency even when a powder source material is used.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a crystal comprises growing a crystal in a reaction chamber by using (1) a solvent in a supercritical state and/or a sub-critical state and (2) a source material, wherein the reaction chamber is equipped with a crucible as a source material filling unit to be filled with the source material, and the filling amount of the source material in the crucible is controlled to satisfy h≥D/2 (h representing the distance from the upper end of the crucible to the upper surface of the source material filling the crucible and D representing the inner diameter of the crucible), or the crucible has a cap having one or more openings. An apparatus is provided to be used for the above method.
