PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for achieving an efficient handover between wireless base stations, employing a CATV network or an Internet Protocol network as a backbone, and reducing the amount of control information flowing in the network. SOLUTION: In the communication system, a plurality of wireless base stations 12 are connected in a tree structure from a plurality of control stations 11 connected to a CATV, respectively. A control station 11 broadcasts information to be owned by any of the wireless base stations 12 belonging to the control station 11 should possess to all of wireless base stations 12 belonging to the control station 11.
