The invention relates to a device for determining the density of magnetisable particles in a paste-like material (5), said device comprising a surface section (1), along which the paste-like material (5) flows, and at least one magnet unit (2) that produces a magnetic field. According to the invention, in a first working mode of the device, the magnetic field of the magnet unit(s) (2) exerts an attractive force on the magnetisable particles (5*) in the paste-like material (5) flowing along the surface section (1) in such a way that the magnetisable particles (5*) contained in the paste-like material (5) are removed from the latter (5) and in a second working mode of the device, the magnetisable particles (5*) are released again by the magnetic field of the magnet unit(s) (2). The invention also relates to a method for determining the density of magnetisable particles in a paste-like material (5) using said device. |
