FIELD: dimensional electrochemical working of metals by dissolution, possibly formation of surface members in machine engineering, air craft manufacture, instrument making and other industry branches for manufacturing articles with high demands to uniform metal taking-off on the whole worked surface. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of supplying electrolyte to working chamber through tool-electrode and discharging gaseous products of reactions through said tool-electrode. In order to lower expenses for manufacturing article, said operations of supplying and discharging electrolyte are realized simultaneously in non-closed volume of electrolyte due to supplying electrolyte by sprinkling along surface of tool-electrode for filling working chamber and working portion of tool-electrode while sustaining desired level of electrolyte and vertically discharging gaseous products of reaction out off inter-electrode gap through tool-electrode.
