<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce EMI emissions without causing mechanical interaction problems in a fiber optic transceiver module. <P>SOLUTION: A fiber optical module and method for making the module using an electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing material are provided.
