摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing metal magnetic particles capable of easily obtaining FePt based metal magnetic particles having high coercive force as the material for a magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The method for producing metal magnetic particles comprises a heating stage where a solution containing: a compound having a triphenylmethane skeleton which includes a hydroxyl group as a substitutional group for increasing the boiling point of the compound having a triphenylmethane skeleton or further includes an alkyl group as a substitutional group for increasing the boiling point of the compound having a triphenylmethane skeleton; iron acetylacetonate; platinum acetylacetonate; and tetraethyleneglycol as a reducing agent is heated at≥330°C, so as to obtain metal magnetic particles.
