PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting apparatus, cutting a workpiece with high accuracy and having simple configuration. SOLUTION: This cutting apparatus includes: a cutting tip; a columnar holder holding the cutting tip at the tip; and a holder support clamping and fixedly supporting a part of the holder in the rear of the cutting tip, wherein the apparatus further includes: a long piezoelectric vibrator disposed extending between the position of the holder fixedly supported by the holder support and the position of the holder not fixedly supported by the front holder support; and a wiring part for supplying electric energy to the vibrator.
