PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle-type or a shower-type ultrasonic washing apparatus having a high washing capability and also a uniform sound field. SOLUTION: The upside of a circular pipe made of stainless steel having an outer diameter of 6 mm and an inner diameter of 4 mm is ground to provide a flat part. Then, the flat part is joined with a piezoelectric ceramic to be a piezoelectric element 3 using an epoxy resin. An arrow in the piezoelectric ceramic indicates a polarization direction. Further, a drawing is not shown and two faces perpendicular to the polarization direction are provided with a silver electrode. Next, pure water is streamed in the circular pipe made of stainless steel to apply the voltage of a desired frequency to the piezoelectric element from an ultrasonic oscillating circuit. The pure water applied with a showery ultrasonic oscillation is brought into contact with an item to be washed, which is not shown in Fig., from the slit of the circular pipe made of stainless steel and ultrasonic washing is carried out.
