The device has a microprocessor (1), which stores a calibration program, and a pressure unit (2), which is electrically connected with the microprocessor and an electronic sphygmomanometer (7). The pressure unit sends a pressure point signal to the calibrating device and the electronic sphygmomanometer. A transmission interface (3) is electrically connected with the microprocessor and the electronic sphygmomanometer. The transmission interface sends data to the microprocessor and the electronic sphygmomanometer and vice versa. An independent claim is also included for a calibrating method for calibrating a pressure value of an electronic sphygmomanometer.
