<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heat treatment device which is compact in the entire configuration, and capable of continuously performing the induction heat treatment, preventing the effect of spray water and high heat generated during the induction hardening and the induction tempering on other mechanism units as much as possible, and enhancing the safety, the durability, the maintainability or the like of the device. <P>SOLUTION: The induction heat treatment device comprises a workpiece holding/step conveying/hold-releasing mechanism unit 1, a conveying beam 5 having a pair of workpiece holding members 16, 16 for holding a workpiece W, an opening/closing mechanism unit 7 for holding and releasing the workpiece W by the pair of workpiece holding members 16, 16 of the conveying beam 5, a pair of guide parts 6, 6 arranged before and behind a workpiece heat treatment unit 3 with a predetermined space therebetween for guiding the conveying beam 5 in the moving direction of the workpiece W, and a step moving mechanism unit 4 for step-moving the conveying beam 5.
