The system has a guidance channel, which is attached to the sealing system. The guidance channel opens out into a receiver area (17) for receiving a lug (10), which is arranged in a steering gear housing (8), in such a manner that the sealing system is connected with the steering gear housing in a snap fit manner. The receiver area has a blocking device (24),and a lug is attached to the housing at diametrically facing sides. A seal made of rubber-like plastic is provided to surround a frame made of hard plastic. An independent claim is also included for a seal for use in a sealing system.
