<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid interruption of the conveyance of paper so as to maintain high productivity by performing a toner discharge cycle in a state where a photoreceptor drum is retracted. <P>SOLUTION: A retracting mechanism retracting the photoreceptor drum from a transfer belt is provided in each of image forming units constituting an image forming part 14, and a deteriorated toner discharge control part 161 selects the image forming unit where an electrophotographic process based on image information of a corresponding color component is not performed during a predetermined period or more as the image forming unit being a toner discharge object for which a toner discharge process is performed, and drives the retracting mechanism corresponding to the image forming unit being the toner discharge object so as to retract the photoreceptor drum of the image forming unit from the transfer belt.
