PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus such as a digital camera for preventing the occurrence of white jump caused in an image acquired by photographing. SOLUTION: A CCD 58 executes photographing in advance, when a preimage includes a prescribed object such as a face, a flash control section 73 suppresses a light emission amount of a flash 24, and the photographing apparatus carries out principal photographing. The photographing apparatus applies processing of adjusting luminance and/or gradation of the prescribed object included in a principal image acquired by the principal photographing to the principal image.
