The device has two radiation sources (6) for releasing an optical radiation in different wavelength ranges. An optical deflection device (9) for deflection of the optical radiation is rotatable or pivotable around a given axis (10) relative to the radiation sources. A drive device (11) rotates and/or pivots the deflection device around the axis. The sources are arranged relative to the deflection device and the axis such that the released optical radiation is deflected to a decoupling interface by the deflection device. An independent claim is also included for a method for sequentially supplying optical radiations in two different wavelength ranges.
