A method for converting thermal energy into mechanical work is provided to maintain a simple structure of an apparatus even in thermally undesirable preliminary conditions. A method for converting thermal energy into mechanical work includes the steps of supplying a high temperature thermal transfer medium into a first operation chamber(2a) of a first heat exchanger(1a), equally heating a first amount of operation medium in a second operation chamber(3a) of the first heat exchanger using the thermal transfer medium, flowing at least the first amount of thermal transfer medium from second operation chambers(3b) of the first or second heat exchanger to second operation chambers(3c) of the following heat exchanger, and equally heating the portion of the first amount of thermal transfer medium in the first operation chamber. |
