PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector in which a gel is simply formed and which is superior in water-proof property regardless of the size and configuration of a terminal. SOLUTION: The waterproof connector 1 comprises a housing 3, a plurality of terminals which are received in the axial direction in the housing 3 and are different in size and shape, a silicon gel 9 as a sealing material to waterproof the terminals received in the housing 3, and a compression member 10 for compressing the gel 9 in the axial direction. The compression member 10 is formed so as to move from a temporarily fixing position before compressing the gel 9 to a regularly fixing position after compressing the gel 9 in the housing 3. While the member 10 for compressing the sealing material is in the temporarily fixing position, terminals 7a, 7b are made to penetrate the gel 9 via the member 10 for compressing the sealing material. Then, the terminals 7a, 7b are received in a terminal chamber of the housing 3, and the member 10 for compressing the sealing material is moved to the regularly fixing position in the receiving state.
