PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect an internal short circuit of a cell in a monoblock battery constituted with a plurality of cells. SOLUTION: The inspection method of a lead-acid battery formed by connecting n (n≥3) cells in series is that in a cell line formed by series connecting, potential difference between an electrode Ek coming in contact with an electrolyte of a cell Ck positioning in k-th (1≤k≤n-1) from the end of a cell line of either one and an electrode Ek+1 coming in contact with the electrolyte of cell Ck+1 positioning k+1-th from the the end of the cell line adjacent to the k-th cell are measured between adjacent cells to obtain potential difference data line of the potential difference of V1 to potential difference Vn-1, and good or bad of the cell is judged form the obtained data.
