<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack in which crushing of a porous structure due to freezing of water residue in a catalyst layer is controlled and deterioration of generating efficiency can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell stack is provided with a pair of electrodes 4a, 4b which are composed of catalyst layers 5a, 5b and gas diffusing layers 6a, 6b and hold a polymer electrolyte layer 3 in between, a pair of separators 2a, 2b in which passages 7a, 7b are placed on both sides of the electrodes 4a, 4b and supply reactant gas are formed, and a lamination body in which a plurality of cells 10 consisting of the electrodes 4a, 4b and the separators 2a, 2b are laminated. The lamination body is compressed in a direction of lamination and held by the fuel cell stack 20. The fuel cell stack 20 is provided with at least two or more diffusing members which have different crushing margins against compression in a direction of the lamination as gas diffusing layers 6a, 6b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
