PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder which improves the arrangement of an input port and selects whether the material to be input is paper or storage medium and in which a shutter is installed to each input port. SOLUTION: In the shredder having an operation panel and a plurality of input ports on the top surface, the paper input port is arranged in the direction parallel to the front face of the shredder, and the storage medium input port is arranged in the direction orthogonal to the shredder, where both input ports configurate L shape. A selection button to select the object to be shredded, a paper indication lamp and a media indication lamp are installed on the operation panel so that either one of the indication lamps is lit in accordance with the selection of the button. Facing to the paper guiding conduit of the paper input port, a shutter mechanism is installed so that the shutter plate can be put in and out into the paper guiding conduit by a solenoid, and facing to the CD and the like guiding conduit and the card guiding conduit installed in parallel to the storage medium input port, the shutter mechanism is installed so that the locking bar is put in and out into the both guiding conduits by the solenoid.
