PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the leakage and drooling of a poisonous bait for the extermination of harmful insects from an injector-type container, keep the softness of the poisonous bait and maintain high extermination effect over a long period. SOLUTION: The poisonous bait for the extermination of harmful insects contains an insecticidal component, water, a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol and gelatin. The invention further provides a method for producing a deaerated poisonous bait for the extermination of harmful insects by kneading an insecticidal component, water, a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol and gelatin under reduced pressure.
