The invention relates to a robot and to a method for positioning the same. The aim of the invention is to provide a robot that enables an energetically advantageous and quick execution of pick-and-place tasks. To this end, two, in essence, horizontally arranged robot arms (24, 26) are connected at their ends by means of a small dimensioned rotation pin (30), whereby the second end of the arm (24) is connected to a rotatory drive (22) and is rotationally mounted. The second end of the arm (26) comprises an effector (28). The rotation pin (20) connected to the rotatory drive (22) is connected to a body (18), which is rotationally mounted and which has another rotatory drive (16), whereby both rotation pins (10, 20) are situated at a distance from one another. |
