The invention provides a powder metallic coating material containing a flake pigment, which comprises base particles having flaky shape and a film containing a charge control agent on surfaces of the base particles, and a resin powder. It is preferable that relation between a charge value of the flake pigment and a charge value of the resin powder is defined by the following expressions (1) and (2): |C_R-C_A|<=10 (1) 10<=|C_A|<=40 ( 2 ) In the expressions (1) and (2), C_A denotes the charge value (muC/g) of the flake pigment and C_R denotes the charge value (muC/g) of the resin powder.
