PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunctions by disabling reference involved in input/output control by a sub CPU during the rewriting of a configuration table by a main CPU. SOLUTION: A storage system comprises a first processing part (main CPU) comprising as execution objects a first input/output control part and a configuration management part, a second processing part (sub CPU) comprising as execution objects a second input/output control part and a high priority control part having higher execution priority, and a shared memory having the configuration table storing configuration information. A configuration information change control part, when instructed to change the configuration information, changes the configuration information in the configuration table as causing the second processing part to execute processing by the high priority control part to disable the second input/output control part from referring to the configuration table, and upon changing the configuration information, causes the second processing part to finish the processing by the high priority control part.
