PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic fluid bearing capable of receiving both loads of the radial direction and the axial direction. SOLUTION: This magnetic fluid bearing has a static member 2 and a rotating member 3 positioned inside and outside in relation to each other through an annular bearing clearance g. A bearing face 2a of any one of the static member 2 and the rotating member 3, which forms the bearing clearance g, is formed into a magnetic surface having a plurality of magnetic poles. A bearing face 3a of the other member, which forms the bearing clearance g, is formed into a non-magnetic surface. The bearing clearance g is filled with magnetic fluid 4. Either of the bearing face 2a of the static member 2 and the bearing face 3a of the rotating member 3 is formed into a shape having a cross section bulged in an intermediate part thereof along the axial direction, and the other bearing face is formed into a shape recessed in an intermediate part thereof.
