PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor coat agent for metalization, capable of providing a laminate capable of forming an inorganic layer scarcely having dispersion of a composition on a base material such as a plastic film, excellent in gas barrier property, moisture-proof property, transparency and heat resistance and excellent in adhesion between the base material and the inorganic layer. SOLUTION: The anchor coat agent for metalization comprises (1) a methoxy group-containing silane-modified polymer obtained by carrying out ring-opening esterification reaction of (A) a carboxyl group-containing copolymer obtained by polymerizing (a1) an olefin-based unsaturated compound not containing a carboxyl group with (a2) an olefin-based compound containing a carboxyl group with (B) a partial condensation product of methoxysilane containing a glycidyl group, obtained by carrying out demethanolation reaction of (b1) an epoxy compound having a specific structure with (b2) a partial condensation product of methoxysilane and (2) an organic solvent.
