PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for wheel which prevents stick slip sound by smooth sliding, by suppressing surface pressure low with an increase in the contact area with a counter member to abut on. SOLUTION: In the bearing device for wheel in which an inner wheel 3 is pushed into a small-diameter step part 2b of a hub 2, an outside joint member 13 to be fitted in the hub 2 to be able to transfer torque is separably connected to the hub 2 and tightened with a fixing nut, since the small-diameter step part 2b is formed in the axial direction so that the end face 12 of the small-diameter step part 2b is flush with the large end face 3b of the inner wheel 3 and the level differenceδbetween the both faces is set in the range of 0-10μm, the level differenceδwith respect to the small-diameter step part 2b is eliminated by elastic deformation of the inner wheel 3 in the axial direction by the tightening force of the fixing nut, the inner wheel 3 and the small-diameter step part 2b practically abut on the outside joint member 13. Thereby, the contact area with the outside joint member 13 is made increased, the contact surface pressure is suppressed, and the stick slip sound is prevented by smooth sliding.
