[Classes 113 (ii) and 114] A framework to carry two or more engines mounted side by side is secured by transverse supporting members in or on a boat hull. A pair of engines, 7, 8 with or without auxiliaries are mounted on longitudinal members 9 of a framework which is completed by transverse members 10. The engines are assembled on the frame away from the boat and the complete unit is then placed in the hull 3, the members 10 being secured at their ends to the bulkheads 5, 6, or to the other strength members of the hull. The bulkheads may form the transverse supports 10. Vibration, heat and electrical insulating material may be used with the fixing bolts 11. |
