The invention concerns a method for producing a foam formed by gas bubbles and a surfactant liquid. Said device comprises a single syringe (1) and a foaming device (9b) which defines a chamber communicating with the orifice of said single syringe (1). Said chamber has substantially constant dimensions, and is adapted to be able to receive at least part of a composition of substance initially contained in the syringe (1) and to return same thereto under the effect of an actuated piston (5). The chamber is also adapted to form with the syringe body (2), a foaming chamber wherein the composition initially contained in the syringe (1) is subjected to compression and/or expansion maintained under the effect of the reciprocating movement of the piston (5) in the body (2) of said syringe (1).
