<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage body which is easy to handle and can be suitably applied in a writing utensil or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The writing utensil (storage body) 1 includes a body 10 formed in the shape of a cylinder, having a semi-spherical holding section 10b formed on its leading end face 10a, and filled with ink. The writing utensil also includes a pen core 11 the leading end of which projects out and which is held by the holding section 10b of the body 10 so that the other part is accommodated in the body 10. The writing utensil further includes a moving member 12 disposed on the peripheral face of the body 10 so as to be freely moved in the direction of the axial line of the body 10, a lid 13 attached to the moving member 12 and covering the end of the pen core 11 and the holding section 10b of the body 10, and an engaging member 14 supported on the peripheral face of the main body 10 and engageable with the external face of the lid 13. The lid 13 is attached to the moving member 12 via a rotating shaft 15 so as to be freely swung and opened outward.
