PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost energy-saving type automatic vending machine having a safely operated flapper opening/closing mechanism of a duct without being restricted by a wall structure of the automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: This automatic vending machine has: a commodity storage rack carrying out a commodity vertically arranged and stored inside a box of a cabinet downward in turns from the bottommost part on the basis of a sales instruction; a fan-equipped cooling/heating unit circularly sending cold air or warm air inside the box according to a sales mode to cold-insulate or heat the commodity; and the duct positioned in the rear face inside the box extendedly to a wind tunnel of the cooling/heating unit, having a flapper opening/closing means changing a suction port for the air circulation/sending. The flapper opening/closing means comprises: a flapper; a lever manually opening/closing the flapper; and a rod connecting the flapper and the lever.
