PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent congestion of communication circuits for connecting a monitor center and elevator monitor devices to each other when an earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: A plurality of elevator monitor devices 7A-7J, 8A-8J and 9A-9J are formed into groups for every elevator monitor device having high probability that an earthquake sensor is to be operated at the same time. When a real time earthquake information receiver device 10 of the monitor center 1 receives real time earthquake information from a real time earthquake information transmitter device 3, an earthquake sensor operating condition confirming device 12 of the monitor center 1 confirms operation of the elevator monitor devices 7A, 7B, 8A, 8B, 9A and 9B previously selected in each of the groups in order of the groups 7, 8 and 9 having high probability that the earthquake sensor is operated.
