PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sensitivity of an electric resistance detection type diaper sensor to the feces. SOLUTION: A pair of electrode wires is held in a base sheet which is formed by pasting two strips of nonwoven fabrics together. A pair of left and right holes is bored at potions of the base sheet to touch the hips and the electrode wires are exposed through the holes. The electrode wires of the exposed sections constitute feces detecting electrodes. Perforated pads respectively having the thicknesses of approximately 2 mm are pasted on the face and the back of the base sheet to separate and insulate the feces detecting electrodes from the human body and the diaper.
