<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high quietness and to reduce the power consumption by preventing deviation and vibration of the shaft of a motor of a compressor used in an oxygen concentration apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In this oxygen concentration apparatus of a pressure fluctuation absorbing type, a pressurizing process of feeding compressed air by the compressor to obtain high oxygen content gas and a decompression process of reducing the pressure in a nitrogen adsorption vessel to discharge the adsorbed nitrogen to the outside, thereby regenerating an adsorbent, are alternately repeated to obtain high oxygen content gas. As the compressor 21, a reciprocating type is used, in which cylinders 24, 25 are disposed on the side of a rotating shaft 23a of the driving motor 23. The pistons 26, 27 in the respective cylinders 24, 25 are reciprocated by driving connecting rods 26b, 27b by rotation of the rotating shaft 23a, and the tip or a part rather closer to the tip of the rotating shaft 23a of the motor 23 is supported by a bearing 19.
