PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection lens inspection device for easily modifying the color of illumination light and a test pattern. SOLUTION: The lens inspection device 2 includes an illumination optical system 3 and a liquid crystal panel 5 displaying the test pattern 12. R color LED, G color LED and B color LED are used in a light source of the illumination optical system 3. Each color LED can be lighted on and off at each emission color. An operator selects the color of the illumination light and the test pattern, the test pattern is projected on a screen through a lens to be inspected and performance evaluation of the lens to be inspected is performed.
