PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core bar with which seizure is hardly generated and the cost accompanying changing is suppressed even if the seizure is generated. SOLUTION: The core bar for the finishing machine of a pipe bender is inserted into the inside of a pipe to be worked and comprises a body part 1 and a head part 2 provided at the top of the body part 1. The head part 2 is arranged on the same axis as the body part 1 and relatively rotatably to the body part 1. Because the head part 2 can be rotated to the body part 1, the contact part of the head part 2 with the pipe to be worked is differed whenever the pipe to be worked is bent and the generation of friction caused by the contact of the head part 2 with the pipe to be worked is dispersed to the circumference of the head part 2. Then, the the generation of seizure is prevented without concentrating the friction upon the special place of the head part 2.
