<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing utensil, which can surely and tightly seal a pen body with no so much change of the interior volume of an inner cap and, at the same time, develop an enough bumping sound at the installation of the cap to a writing utensil body. <P>SOLUTION: Within a metallic lid body, the inner cap is arranged under the state being sprung forwards with a spring and, at the same time, inward projections molded out of a synthetic resin are mounted on the inner surface of the lid body. When the cap is installed onto the writing utensil body, the inward projections get over the outward projections of the writing utensil body and, as a natural result, the tip edge of the lid body bumps against the stepped part of the writing utensil body, resulting in developing bumping sound and the tip part of the inner cap tightly contacts with the fore end part of the writing utensil body, resulting in tightly sealing the pen body of the writing utensil body. In addition, a synthetic resin tubular body, near the end of which the inward projections are formed, is mounted under the condition that a clearance is put to exist between the outer peripheral surface of the tubular body with a portion, in which the inward projections are formed, and the inner peripheral surface of the lid body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
