摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive current from running into a reflux diode of a short-circuited unit chopper having a simple structure, without having to attach a reverse-blocking diode. <P>SOLUTION: This parallel multiplex chopper device is comprised of the plurality of unit choppers the quantity of which is N are connected in parallel, where N is an integer of two or larger. Each of the unit choppers is composed of a switching element 6, which is connected to the positive side of a common DC power supply 11 through an overcurrent cut-off element 5 to supply DC power to a common load 3 by its on-off operation; a diode 7, connected in such a direction that a current runs from the negative side of the DC voltage source to the output side of the switching element; and a current detector 8 attached onto the output side of the switching element. This permits all the switching elements to turn off, when an output current of any of the unit choppers detected by the current detector exceeds a first predetermined value as a negative overcurrent threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
