<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass bottle whose bottom has a strength improved by knurling, and which suppresses a factor inducing a strength decrease caused by demolding in a glass bottle molding to totally improve the strength of bottom of the bottle. <P>SOLUTION: A doughnut area 5 is along the outer periphery of the bottom of the glass bottle. A number of elongated projections 6 each having a long diameter longer than the width of the area 5 are formed in the area 5 in such an arrangement that both ends 6a, 6b of each projection 6 make contact with the outer edge 5a and the inner edge 5b of the area 5, respectively, and that each projection 6 is inclined in the same direction. Each projection 6 is formed in such a way that a circular curved surface is formed between both side end faces 6c, 6d of the projection 6 and the bottom face 7 of the bottle, and the ratio of the radius of curvature of the curved surface to the height of the top of the projection 6 is 1.5 to 2.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
