PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film winding device capable of being adopted for a small film rewinding device and of simplifying safety equipment. SOLUTION: A film winding unit 19 comprises a winding shaft 31 to which a winding core 30 is fitted and a disk 34 fixed to a main body plate 21 leaving a predetermined gap. A film winding unit 20 comprises upper and lower trumpets 45a, 45b and a slide mechanism 46 slidably holding the both trumpets 45a, 45b in a direction intersecting with the axial direction of the winding shaft 31 and a direction parallel with the axial direction. After a cinema film 12 is wound around the rotating winding core 30 in one or more rounds, the slide mechanism 46 is driven and the both trumpets 45a, 45b are retreated to the back side of the disk 34. Since the necessity of securing a large operation space is eliminated, the cinema film 12 can be semi-automatically wound around the winding core 30 even in a small film rewinding device.
