PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interior trim member for an automobile capable of realizing good sound absorption, and compatibly achieving the easy-recycling property and the low environmental loading property. SOLUTION: The interior trim member has at least a three-layer structure consisting of an outer cover material mainly formed of polylactic acid fibers with the fineness being 1-30 dtex, and the Metsuke (weight per unit area) being 50-1,000 g/m<SP>2</SP>, a base material of the apparent density being 0.4-1.5 g/cm<SP>3</SP>while a polylactic acid-based resin is mixed in natural fibers as a binder, and a sound absorbing material mainly consisting of polylactic fibers with the Metsuke (weight per unit area) being 150-1,500 g/m<SP>2</SP>.
