摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness of changeover between lock and unlock of a rotation transmission device without increasing power consumption of an electromagnetic coil 35 nor reducing spring force of a switch spring 33, in a rotation transmission device which is so structured that two rotating shafts are connected to and disconnected from each other by changing the phase of a retainer 29 with respect to an inner member 22 or an outer wheel 25 by the action of electromagnetic force of an electromagnet and by forming a wedge engagement state between an engagement piece and the inner member 22, and the outer ring 25. SOLUTION: This rotation transmission device is so structured that a guide shaft part 48 for guiding an inside diameter part of an armature 44 through a predetermined radial space is formed in the outside diameter of the inner member; a means for facilitating responsiveness in changing over the connection to the disconnection and vice versa in response to the change of a current carried to the electromagnetic coil is provided; and, for instance, a surface for relaxing friction is formed in at least either of the inside diameter part of the armature 44 or the guide shaft part 48 of the inner member 22.
