PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the size of an abalone subject to catch regulations before catching abalones by means of an abalone hook. SOLUTION: This implement is made up of an elongate elastic body having signs 17 serving as marks for regulated catch size on both ends thereof, and is attached to the abalone hook 3 so that it crosses a plane including a flexure part 32 of the abalone hook 3. In catching abalones, the abalone hook 3 fastened to a rod 4 is brought close to a found abalone to apply the two signs 17 to the abalone.
