PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier head structure capable of shortening working hours at a high place, at the same time, eliminating an H-steel holder as a left-in-place-material and a support, etc. and preventing a shear failure in cover parts of a precast concrete slab and a concrete. SOLUTION: A PRC slab can be manufactured to a completed part of the pier head section on the spot by a pretension type and can be erected, and since reinforcement/a form/concrete can be placed on the slab, the working hours at the high place are decreased to constitute a construction method excellent in safety, further since the H-steel holder and the support, etc. are eliminated, it also becomes economically advantageous. The precast concrete slab projecting a plurality of shape-steels from the perimeter is installed in an opening section of the pier having a hollow cross section, and the concrete is placed from the above to form the pier head section so that the shear failure in the precast concrete slab and the cover parts of the concrete in the pier head section can be prevented.
