PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device which reduces leakage of surface acoustic waves. SOLUTION: In the surface acoustic wave apparatus, an IDT, having a plurality of electrode fingers and a pair of bus bar electrodes, is formed on a piezoelectric substrate, and a pair of reflectors are formed on both sides of the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave of the IDT.
