PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveying equipments for specifying the coordinates position of an object for saving power at one location even if there are a plurality of objects. SOLUTION: An emission source 2 applies light modulated with a modulation signal with a prescribed period to a target space, and a photodetector 1 images the target space. An image generation section 4 obtains the distance to the object Ob according to the phase difference between light applied to the target space from the emission source 2 and reflection light received by the photodetector 1 after being reflected by the object Ob in the target space. A distance image generated by the image generation section 4 is given to a coordinates operation section 54 along with a position in the reference coordinates system in a distance image sensor 10 detected by a position sensor 51 and a direction in the reference coordinates system in the distance image sensor 10 detected by a direction sensor 52. A coordinates operation section 54 obtains the coordinates position of the object Ob in the reference coordinates system and a map creation section 55 records the coordinates position of the object Ob on an electronic map.
