PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip angle measuring instrument which enables the stable and accurate measurement of an angle of inclination at the beginning of the slip of a work along the center axis direction of a metal columnar body in order to evaluate the processing friction force applied to the surfaces of both of the work and the metal columnar body. SOLUTION: The slip angle measuring instrument is equipped with a stage 3 which is used for fixing the metal columnar body 2 and rotatable in the direction inclining the center axis 5 of the metal columnar body 2 and constituted so that a side surface guide part 22 is provided along the side surface of the work 4 in order to slide the work 4 placed on the metal columnar body 2 along the center axis 5, and a bottom surface guide part 23, which is provided along the bottom surface of the work 4 in order to hold the posture in the direction crossing the center axis 5 at a right angle with respect to the work 4 placed on the metal columnar body 2, are provided to the stage 13.
