PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform good recording even on a recording medium being conveyed under inclining state. SOLUTION: Inclination anglesθ1 andθ2 at the left and right edges of a recording sheet as a recording medium are detected (S201-S207). Even if a decision is made that an image having a size extended over the image recording area of the recording sheet can be recorded in the entire image recording area (S208: YES) or if a decision is made that an image represented by the image data cannot be recorded in the entire image recording area of the recording sheet (S208: NO), image data conversion processing for converting the color at a portion of image data not recorded in the image recording area of the recording sheet into a color for which ink is not ejected is performed (S213, S214) when a user performs input operation for continuing recording (S209, S210: YES).
