A method for heating flame melting furnace which involves the delivery at angles to the surface of oxygen melted metal, gaseous and liquid fuel in the form of separate flows which are mixed at intersection thereof, and burning the formed mixture above the melt surface, at that flows axes of liquid fuel and oxygen are directed angularly in one point at the gaseous flow axis, and the distance of which to the plane of orientation of all flows outlet is equal to 0.2-0.25 of the distance from the point of gaseous flow meeting with the melted metal surface to the plane of all flows outlet orientation, at that consumption of gaseous fuel for heat load in periods of charging and heating, melting and finishing is respectively of 93-97, 85-95 and 80-90 % of total consumption of fuel for every period of melting .
